Body Waxing

Body Waxing Services

Body waxing is a popular hair removal method that involves applying warm wax to areas of the body where unwanted hair grows, then removing the wax and hair from the root. Common areas for body waxing include the legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, and back. This procedure results in smooth skin that can last for several weeks, depending on individual hair growth. While it may cause temporary discomfort during application and some redness afterward, body waxing provides a longer-lasting alternative to shaving, with hair typically growing back finer and softer over time.

Benefits of Body Waxing:

  • Long-Lasting Results: Hair is removed from the root, which results in smoother skin that stays hair-free for several weeks.
  • Finer Hair Regrowth: Compared to shaving, waxing leads to finer and softer regrowth, reducing stubble and razor bumps.
  • Exfoliates the Skin: Waxing removes dead skin cells along with hair, leaving the skin smoother and more radiant.
  • Precision and Versatility: Allows for precise hair removal in large or small areas, tailored to personal grooming preferences.
  • Reduced Maintenance: Provides a convenient hair removal solution with less frequent upkeep compared to shaving.

FAQ about Waxing

Before your waxing appointment
  • Let it grow. Try not to shave for at least two weeks before your wax (about 1/4 inch or a grain of rice)
  • Know your style. A simple bikini wax, which mainly takes pubic hair off the sides or a Brazilian wax that removes all or nearly all of the hair from front to back.
  • Do Not use any lotion on areas being waxed.
  • No Sun Exposure Please stay out of the sun 24 hours before and after your appointment as your skin will be more sensitive.
  • Exfoliate. Gently exfoliate your skin a few days before your appointment. Do not use any exfoliants containing seeds.
  • No Excessive Heat Refrain from heat such as: working out, hot tubs, or intimate activity 12hrs after service.
How Often should I get a wax?

It depends on how fast your hair is growing, but on average we recommend getting waxed every 4-6 weeks.

What to expect from a waxing appointment?

Everyone’s skin reacts differently to waxing, but typically you can expect temporary redness and minor irritation for a day or two. Try to avoid heavy exercise that will increase perspiration and chaffing for 12-24 hours after waxing.
